Victoria Newman, MS Ed
Executive Director of Greenwich Education Group
Vicky Newman is the Executive Director of Greenwich Education Group, which she founded in 2003. As a teacher in both the Greenwich and Stamford Public School systems, Vicky is intimately familiar with both the local public and private school curricula. Vicky also works as an educational consultant, where she helps place students in both day and boarding schools. A graduate of the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry herself, Vicky understands the importance of matching students with the best “fit” for their educational needs and experiences. She is a member of the IECA, ERB, and SSAT organizations. Vicky lives in Greenwich with her two daughters, ages 10 and 8, her husband Peter, and two dogs, A.J. and Cheyenne.



Meredith Hafer, MA
Director, Greenwich
Meredith joined us after completing her Masters in East Asian Studies at Harvard University. Meredith's areas of focus include history, literature, philosophy, and Mandarin studies. Complementing her interest in the humanities, Meredith has instructed students in English, research, and the writing process at The University of Richmond. Meredith lives with her husband Chris in Greenwich.



Kirsten DeConti Ziotas, Ph.D.
Director, New Canaan
Kirsten holds a doctorate in Child and Developmental Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Her published research focuses on the relationship between social and cognitive development. She has taught at the University of Connecticut, Central Connecticut State University and Trinity College. Kirsten and her husband Angelo live in New Canaan and have two school-aged children.



Tammy Moscrip, Ph.D.
Director, Clinical Services
Tammy was pre-med and a double major in biology and psychology at Bates College and then went on to earn her doctorate in Psychology (cognitive neuroscience focus) at Columbia University. Given Tammy's educational and research background in cognitive psychology, she is particularly interested in the intersection of the brain, cognition and behavior. Her current work with students allows her to integrate her knowledge of neuroscience and learning theory to help students develop cross-disciplinary skills and strategies that address short-term goals for academic success, as well as long-term goals that involve essential life skills such as organization, time management, confidence-building and self-regulated learning. Her approach utilizes a strengths-based teaching methodology that recognizes the unique socio-cognitive-behavioral profiles that shape individual students' learning styles. She holds a special place in her heart for monkeys, but loves animals of all kinds, and enjoys SCUBA diving, traveling, reading, and motorcycle riding.



Nancy Grejtak, MA, MBA
Director, Special Education
Nancy comes to us from Silicon Valley, where she most recently served as the Director of Pupil Services in the Los Altos School District. In that capacity, Nancy was responsible for administration of both the special education and psychological services programs for the district. She developed a comprehensive autism support program for her constituency, and spearheaded collaborative practices between parents and district staff. Prior to that, Nancy taught students with learning differences as a Resource Specialist and Inclusion Specialist in Sunnyvale School District for nine years. Both of Nancy’s children exhibited special learning needs, which led her to change her career from high tech business to education. She received her Masters in Special Education from Santa Clara University, where she also taught in the graduate special education program. Nancy lives in Darien with her husband, Chris, son Peter and beloved PWD Bailey. Besides being passionate about advocating for students who exhibit learning differences, Nancy enjoys music, travel and spending time with friends and family.



Mindy Rothstein, Ph.D., BCBA
Director, Applied Behavioral Analysis
Mindy recently completed her doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Teachers College, Columbia University. Mindy holds a Masters Degree and a Masters of Philosophy degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She currently possesses CABAS (Comprehensive Application of Behavior Analysis to Schooling) Assistant Behavior Analyst, Master Teacher, Teacher II, and Teacher I certification Mindy also holds New York State Teacher Certification for Children with and Without Diagnosed Disabilities ages birth through grade 2 and grades 1 through 6. She has taught children diagnosed with Autism and a range of disabilities as well as typically developing children using the science of applied behavior analysis. She has also worked with classroom staff and families in educating them on how to use applied behavior analysis in the classroom and in the home. Her published research focuses on observational learning skills Mindy currently resides in New York City with her husband David.



Stacy Smegal, MS Ed
Assistant Director, Greenwich
With her Masters in elementary education, Stacy specializes in creating academic programs for students in grades K-6. Stacy came to Greenwich Education Group after teaching in the Stamford Public School system. Her experience in the classroom has taught her the importance of differentiated instruction and the benefits of one-on-one education. She currently resides in Stamford with her husband Matt.



Katja Krumpelbeck, BA
Assistant Director, New Canaan
Katja completed a double major at the Johns Hopkins University in German and the History of Art, after which she continued her studies at the University of Vienna. She has taught at Lindamood-Bell centers both in Connecticut and in Maryland, where she focused on developing reading and comprehension skills in students with learning disabilities.




Katherine Hafer, BA
Assistant Director, Humanities
Katherine holds a BA from Tufts University in International Letters and Visual Studies, which included studies in French, Latin, and Ancient Greek literature, art, and media. She completed a portion of her degree studying at La Sorbonne in Paris. Before joining Greenwich Education Group, Katherine studied theatrical design at the University of Maryland's graduate school. Katherine has taught at the undergraduate level, developed course curricula, and instructed younger students of all ages. She lives in Greenwich and enjoys playing the violin.



Renato Montenegro, BSE
Associate Director, Math, Science and Technology
Renato joined GEG after completing a major in Electrical Engineering at Tufts University, where he also studied music, music technology, and sound design. He specializes in tutoring upper-level math, with additional focus in the arts and the humanities. He lives in Greenwich.





Jacqueline Quigley, MBA
Associate Educational Consultant, Greenwich
Jacquie joins us with fifteen years experience as a Marketing Professional in the Financial Services industry; her last position was in retail marketing as a Senior Product Manager for Dreyfus Mutual Funds. After retiring from her job in the financial industry, she began using her bilingual skills and became actively involved in counseling Hispanic minority students at the High School level with course planning, testing and college advisement. Jacquie and her husband Jim live in Greenwich with their three children.



Allyson Bram MS, CCC/SLP
Speech and Language Consultant
Allyson has a BS in Communication Disorders from Penn State University, and an MS in Speech-Language Pathology from Emerson College. She is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist, who is licensed in both NY and CT. Allyson has extensive experience with a wide range of speech and language disabilities including: autism, articulation disorders, language learning disabilities, stuttering, developmental delays, social language (pragmatics), augmentative communication and hearing impairments. Allyson hosts workshops for professionals and parent groups, and also presents at regional and national conferences.



George Thomas, MA
Associate Director, Middle School Services
George has several years of teaching experience at both the high school and middle school level. He holds an M.A. in Secondary Education from Lehman College (NY), and his undergraduate degree was in History from Xavier University (OH), where he was a student-athlete in NCAA Men's Tennis. George thoroughly enjoys teaching the writing process, for both small-scale assignments and major term papers. His primary goal with each student is to help that student become engaged with their learning.



Natasa Popovic, Ed.M.
Assistant Director, Greenwich
Natasa joined GEG after completing her masters in Educational Administration at State University of New York at Buffalo. Natasa also completed a double major in Spanish and German, with concentration in Economics, at Nazareth College of Rochester. After college, she taught Spanish and English in Loeningen, Germany on a Fulbright Scholarship. Natasa enjoys traveling, reading, running, and cooking.



Nina Hanlon, MFA
Associate Director, Greenwich
Nina Hanlon received her MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater and her BA in Africana Studies from Brown University. Prior to graduate school, Nina was an English and Drama teacher at Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, Massachusetts, as well as Co-Assistant Director at Upward Bound, an academic summer program for first generation college-bound students. Outside of teaching and mentoring, she has over ten years experience in administration, working with a wide range of organizations. At Brown, Nina won two Division I NCAA Rowing Championships and continues to row and coach in her free time. Nina is also a trained professional actress, working in regional theatre, commercials, film, and television. Nina lives in Rye with her husband, Ron, and their two cats.



Ann Marie Mangano, MA
Associate Director, Greenwich
Ann Marie joins GEG after completing her M.A. in Education from Quinnipiac University. As a participating member of the American Historical Association, she is a certified teacher who specializes in secondary level world studies and human interactions. Ann Marie has conducted Professional Development Conferences in Leon, Nicaragua, where she provided effective teaching strategies, lesson plans, and resources to teachers and administrators. While at Quinnipiac, Ann Marie served on the Academic Integrity board and assisted in the National Accreditation of the Master of Arts in Teaching Program. She has orchestrated community service events in conjunction with Make-A-Wish Foundation, Relay for Life, Lions Club of Southampton, and Hamden’s Community Action Project. In addition to academics and service, Ann Marie was a Division I Field Hockey player who was nominated NCAA Woman of the Year, NCAA & NEC player of the week, and four-time academic All-American. Ann Marie lives in East Norwalk with her fiancé Chris and their boxer, Stanley.



Hetal Sheth, BS
Associate Director, Greenwich
Hetal graduated from Greenwich High School in 2006 and went on to study at Northwestern University. At Northwestern, Hetal studied Human Communication Sciences with a pre-medical track. She became involved in various volunteering and extracurricular activities. She was the Site Leader for Rice Child and Family Center and Artistic Director for Deeva Dance Troupe. She also conducted research in a Biology Lab studying the Measles Virus and undertook an independent study of cadaver dissection. She is now back in Greenwich for a year and plans to continue her love for tutoring and working with youth at Greenwich Education Group. Hetal is trained in Indian classical dance and loves singing, dancing and cooking in her free time.



Frank Bartolomeo, Ph.D.
Executive Director, The Spire School at Greenwich Education and Prep
Dr. Frank Bartolomeo comes to The Spire School at Greenwich Education Group with over 20 years of experience in the child and adolescent mental health field. He has worked in such diverse settings as residential treatment centers, schools, outpatient clinics, and hospitals in the Boston area.
In 2005, Frank became Director of Counseling at a therapeutic boarding school and spearheaded its transformation from an emotional growth paradigm to a contemporary model that incorporated the best available research on residential care; he later became the Executive Director.
His areas of specialization include: child and adolescent therapy, group and organizational psychology, and group psychotherapy. Frank served as Co-Chair of the Children’s Group Therapy Association in Boston, and in 2003 was awarded “Group Worker of the Year” by the Association for the Advancement of Social Work with Groups (AASWG). He also served as an assistant clinical professor at Boston University School of Social Work from 1998-2003. Frank has published articles related to the theory, research, and practice of behavioral health care for youth.
Frank enjoys yoga, motorcycling, playing soccer and watching his children’s sporting events.



Bill Dennett
Director of College Counseling
Bill joined GEG as Director of College Counseling in the first part of 2010 after six years in private educational consulting in the Fairfield, CT area. Prior to that, he was the Director of Admission at the Choate School and Emma Willard School in the 1980s and 1990s he worked in the admission office at the University of Chicago and was Dean of Admission and Financial Aid at Denison University. He holds a BA and MEd from St. Lawrence University and a CAS from the University of Chicago. Bill lives in New Haven, CT with his wife Jane and two children, Garrett and Kathryn.



Dede LeComte, AB
Director of Admissions & Marketing
Dede graduated from Sweet Briar College with a double major in Sociology and Anthropology. After college, she held a variety of marketing and promotion positions in the publishing, cosmetics and fashion industries. Later, she teamed-up with her husband, helping to manage two family-owned businesses.
Dede’s passion for education is the result of the journeys of her four children. And it has led to her serving on several school boards, including as Board Chair for the Northwest Greenwich Nursery School, Children’s Day School and most recently, Oldfields School, an independent girls boarding school in Maryland.
Dede is a long time member and past president of the Junior League of Greenwich and currently sits on the Advisory Board of Children’s Day School. She and husband Jon, were empty nesters but now have all 4 children back at home. She and Jon enjoy being outdoors in their vegetable or flower garden, or spending time with their menagerie of horses, dogs and cats, many of which are rescues.
