At Greenwich Education Group, we recognize that adolescence is a challenging time in the social world. At CLUB BOOM! we provide the opportunity for boys with similar needs and interests to work on their socialization skills in a natural setting. There, therapists foster already present social skills while facilitating appropriate social interactions in real world environments. This helps members of CLUB BOOM! generalize the skills they have learned, practice the skills they are already familiar with, and feel comfortable and relaxed in their community with peers like them.

How does CLUB BOOM! work?

CLUB BOOM! incorporates a monthly outing into the community. Members of CLUB BOOM! are taken out by Greenwich Education Group therapists to various venues including (but not limited to) the movies, sports games, museums, the zoo, nature walks, and the aquarium. After the community outing, CLUB BOOM! goes out to dinner.

In order to help our therapists meet the needs of members of CLUB BOOM!, we will ask for your cooperation in filling out a brief intake form as your child's parent/guardian. Additionally, in order to properly facilitate your child's social skills on outings, we will assess your child in a natural setting (home or school) as a functional behavior assessment (FBA). Please note: if your child is already participating in our BOOM! social skills groups and you have already completed our intake process, there is no need to repeat this process for CLUB BOOM!
