Planning & Guidance

Developing and implementing a comprehensive, effective transition plan is a demanding personal journey. At Greenwich Education Group, our consultants help students and their families plot a course through graduation and beyond. Whether we are advising on the IEP process, identifying postsecondary options, or preparing students for life after high school, we understand that each student is an individual with unique goals.

No matter what path they choose, we help students become advocates for themselves and identify support services in their communities. Our overriding goal is to enable our students to experience independence and create opportunities for their own success. To facilitate this, we offer career planning, postsecondary planning, academic and social support, professional skills training, learning and work style assessment, and programs in study and organizational skills. We strive to provide students and their families with more information about their options so that they can make informed decisions.

Career & Life Skills

In order to prepare our students for life after high school, we provide them with the skills and strategies they need to survive and thrive in the workplace and community. We focus on the essential components of practical independence, such as life skills (budgeting, time management, organization), and social skills (cooperation, communication, peer relationships). We teach them to monitor themselves, and we help them discover and capitalize on their  strengths.

Academic Solutions

Our academic transition services are designed to put students on the right track for school beyond 12th grade. We help students identify and apply to appropriate postsecondary programs; our services include application assistance as well as SAT & ACT preparation specifically tailored to different students' learning needs. In addition, we give students the academic and cognitive tools they need to succeed once they matriculate, such as effective study skills, metacognitive skills, and learning strategies for advanced material.
