As the college admissions process grows increasingly more competitive, a better performance on the SAT and ACT can open up more options. Greenwich Education Group understands this, and our team of experienced instructors is committed to customizing a program that meets the unique needs of every student.
Our approach is simple and research-based: We believe that higher test scores depend on tutors who understand both the test and the test-taker. Therefore, our instructors begin every program by ensuring that your student has a fundamental understanding of the format and material covered on the exam. Next, a diagnostic assessment is administered to establish your student's strengths and areas of difficulty. We strongly believe that familiarity breeds success, and that all SAT and ACT programs are designed to expose your student to as many sample questions as time permits. This repetition allows our tutors to work question-by-question with your student in order to teach the most effective techniques. GEG also offers proctored and timed practice exams to provide students opportunities to practice theses strategies.
Our ultimate goal is to ensure that on the day of the test students feels relaxed, confident, and prepared so that they can perform up to their potential and achieve excellent results. Offering convenient locations for New Canaan, Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, Rye, Westport, Wilton, and Weston Connecticut.

Why take the ACT in addition to the SAT?
The ACT and SAT are equally accepted by all colleges and universities in the United States. The major difference between the two tests is that the ACT is comprised of an additional science section and an optional writing component. While the SAT focuses heavily on vocabulary, the ACT hones in on grammar and punctuation and contains a more advanced math section. The content of the ACT tends to not be as complex as that of the SAT, making the ACT particularly attractive for students who can work quickly for longer periods of time. However, because both the ACT and SAT test in a different way, the best option is to take both tests to determine which results in a better score.
